Last Tuesday we returned from Egypt, after one week of cruise on the Nile between Luxor and Aswan and another week at the Red Sea – with a day trip to Cairo.
It was fantastic. There was, of course, a lot to marvel – from ancient times as well as the present. The people were very friendly. But Egypt is also a place of contrasts: between the wealthy tourist and the rich local upper class on one side and poverty of the many on the other. Between a glorious past and a problematic present.
In other words: a great experience but also food for thought. Pictures from the trip will be posted on Flickr as time permits 😉
